A World War II Veteran is celebrating a triple digit birthday. Family, friends, and members of the community gathered around Ladelle Cochran as he celebrated his 100th birthday. Mr. Cochran served in World War two and returned to receive the Bronze Star Medal.

Cochran then went on to work at the Anniston Army Depot for 25 years before retiring. Some of Cochran’s friends at the Autumn Cove Retirement Community also gathered to celebrate Cochran with cake and ice cream.

Anniston Mayor Jack Draper presented Cochran with a proclamation certificate on behalf of the City of Anniston. Mr. Cochran tells TV24 what it feels like to be 100-years-old and the secret to living to see a triple digit birthday.

Mr. Cochran has five children, three grandchildren, and six great grandchildren who love and cherish him dearly.
