McCord's Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department Receives Grant


Congressman Mike Rogers announced today that the men and women of the McCord’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department will receive a grant for more than $310,000. The grant will help the Cherokee County fire department recruit and retention of volunteer firefighters.

The grant is awarded under the SAFER Program to assure that communities have adequate protection from fire and fire related hazards. Congressman Mike Rogers congratulated the fire department and says he is pleased that the federal government is continuing to make investments in the Third District.
