4th Hottest Summer in the Record Books

As the summer is quickly coming to an end, it will indeed be a summer that goes down as one of the hottest in history. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, 2018 has been recorded as the fourth hottest summer in US history. The summertime is June through August according to meteorologists.

The average temperature this summer was 73.5 degrees which is two degrees above average. The average precipitation for the summer was 2.9 inches. That’s .37 of an inch above average making it the 20th wettest August on record to date.
