The Weaver community began setting up for their 25th annual Weaver Heritage Day. The City of Weaver invites local residents and other surrounding areas to their Heritage Day festival. This year, there will be more than 130 vendors that will have tents and booths set up all throughout Weaver City Park. The vendors will consist of food, crafters, and tons of activities for children.
People from all over the northeast part of Alabama are expected to attend this year’s Heritage Day. Live music will be played the entire day by several local artists’ and bands. Weaver’s Mayor shares why he believes Weaver is such a special place.
Mayor Willis also says the Weaver firefighters will begin the Heritage Day with serving a pancake breakfast to the residents of Weaver beginning at 5am until 9:30am at the community center. The breakfast is $5 and all the proceeds will go directly to the Weaver Fire Department.
The Weaver Heritage Day Festival will begin at 10am and run until 3pm at the Weaver City Park. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.
