Etowah County Men Behind Bars for Drug Trafficking

Two men from Etowah County are behind bars for drug trafficking. According to the Etowah County Sheriff’s Department, Erasmo Ramon of Boaz and Rutilo Alarcon from Albertville have both be charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine. Agents had been conducting an investigation related to the importation and trafficking of methamphetamine at a house on Madison Avenue in Gadsden.

 

Both men were found in possession of 452 grams of methamphetamine. Ramon and Alarcon are both being held in the Etowah County Detention Center. Ramon’s bond has been set at $200,000. Alarcon’s bond was also set at $200,000 but he is being held for the New Orleans Immigration Agency. The investigation is still ongoing and both suspects could face additional charges.
