Anniston Bowling Center Closes After More Than a Decade


A popular entertainment facility that has been around since 1951 has closed its doors. The Anniston Bowling Center located off West Blue Mountain Road, opened its doors for the last time Friday. Gaming systems have been completely removed from the building, along with bowling pins and other memorabilia items that were loaded onto a truck and carried away. Windows and doors were also boarded up.

The bowling center was home to hundreds of bowling leagues for adults as well as children. The building where the former bowling center once was is listed on the market for more than $390,000.
