The Anniston Army Depot along with its leaders signed five agreements today signifying its continued relationship with local municipalities and educational institutions. Five representatives from Gadsden State Community College, Jacksonville State University, the City of Jacksonville, Anniston Water Works, and Oxford Water Works and Sewer Board participated in the signing agreement.
Part of this agreement is in an effort to expose students to the business side of the Anniston Army Depot. This agreement will allow the students to shadow the depot's employee’s, leaders, and supervisors so they will understand what a typical work day looks and feels like on an Army installation. Colonel Joel Warhurst says this is a big win for the Anniston Depot and surrounding communities.
These agreements were made possible through the Army Community Partnership Program that has been proven to be successful in producing a wide-range of mutually beneficial partnership with communities across the country.
