GM Pickup Truck & SUV Recall

General Motors is recalling more than one million pickup trucks and SUVs due to a power assisted steering problem that has caused a number of accidents. The cars affected are certain 2015 Chevrolet Silverado’s, GMC Sierra 1,500 pickups, the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban SUVs. 2015 Cadillac Escalades and GMC Yukon SUVs are also among those affected.

According to General Motors, the power steering can fail momentarily during a drop in voltage and suddenly return during low speed turns. GM currently reports 30 crashes with two injuries and no deaths. GM encourage anyone with these year model SUVs and Pickups to contact your local dealer to schedule repairs at no cost. General Motors recalled 2014 year model trucks last year for the same power steering problem.
