An Anniston native who was found dead in Carrollton, Georgia has been identified as an armed robbery suspect. According to a statement released by the Villa Rica Police Department, Adrian Wordlow entered a Waffle House and pointed a gun at employees and said he was robbing the restaurant. A customer shot Wordlow shortly after.
According to witnesses, Wordlow left the scene in a small dark colored vehicle. Villa Rica police were notified hours later of a body next to a vehicle matching the suspect’s description.
After further investigation, police discovered Wordlow had a getaway driver. Terrell Bailey of Carrollton was arrested and charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Criminal Attempt to Commit Armed Robbery.
Police also discovered Wordlow dropped his weapon as he was leaving the Waffle House, and it turned out to be a BB gun. Police say there will be no charges filed against the customer who shot Wordlow.
