In the event of rain or shine tomorrow, the biggest concert to ever come to Calhoun County will be on Jacksonville State’s Burgess Snow Field as scheduled. Crews began setting up for the Alabama and Friends benefit concert earlier today. More than 20,000 students, fans, and community members are expected to be inside the football stadium to help raise money for the university after being hit by an EF-3 tornado more than six months ago.
Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the JSU stadium from 8am until 6pm. The gates will open at 4pm and the concert will begin at six.
Parking for the concert on campus is free except for reserved areas. With the strong prediction of rain tomorrow you are encouraged to bring raincoats or ponchos. Umbrellas are not allowed inside the stadium. TV24 will be in attendance providing full coverage of the benefit concert along with interviews from some of its performers.
