Alabama & Friends Concert Raises $1.2 Million for Tornado Relief
Rain certainly did not stop concert goers from being apart of Calhoun County’s biggest concert to date. Support was shown towards the university as thousands of people attended the JSU Strong benefit concert despite rain clouds hovering over Burgess-Snow Field. The four hour concert had a host of artist perform from The Charlie Daniels Band, to John Berry, and headliners Alabama.
Jacksonville Alumnus Riley Green and Randy Owen both expressed how they are thankful for the positive outlook from students and staff during the rebuilding or their beloved university.
Towards the ending of the show, President John Beehler took the stage to show the audience a check presented to the university, in the amount of more than $1.2 million raised in tornado relief efforts.
