Coffee With a Cop in Oxford

Oxford police officers took the time to grab a cup of coffee with the people they serve in order to help bridge the gap between citizen and law enforcement. People were given the opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns regarding their neighborhoods and other parts of the community.

Some residents took upon themselves to even discuss more personal matters with officers that they felt comfortable with which is the overall purpose of Coffee with a Cop. National Coffee with a Cop is originally scheduled for October third, but Oxford police chose to do theirs today and Sergeant Gerry Lyons says it’s one of his personal favorite events during the year.

The Oxford Police Department gave people custom coffee cups as a gift of appreciation for having a cup of coffee with them.
