Honda & GM to Build Self Driving Car
Honda is joining forces with General Motors to create a next generation of vehicles. Honda plans to invest two-billion-dollars over 12 years in General Motors’ self-driving vehicles.
GM is already in the works with its subsidiary, Cruise, to put out several self-driving versions of the Chevrolet Bolt EV electric car. With Honda’s engineering expertise and financial assistance, Cruise will be able to start working on a new vehicle not based on any existing car with no controls for human operation.
