Bus Caught in Crossfire Shooting in Anniston


A shooting in Anniston led to a school bus being caught in the crossfire, a 17 year old boy shot, and several men behind bars. According to the Anniston Police Department, as a school bus was pulling out onto South Noble street, people began shooting from inside two vehicles at each other, striking the bus several times. Fortunately, no students were on the bus and the driver was not injured. The 17 year old boy that was shot has been treated at a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

During a subsequent search warrant after police found one of the cars involved in the 1700 block of Rocky Hollow Road, Joetavius Embry, Quintavious Dobbins, and Charrezz Brown have each been charged with Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Tyquez Bullock, Armonta Thompson were also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

All five men are currently at the Calhoun County Jail and their bond has not yet been set. A minor whose information will not be released, has also been charged in the shooting.
