Majority Vote "Yes" for Kavanaugh
A majority vote has been casted by the upper chamber on whether or not to confirm Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh. A total of 51 senators voted yes, while 49 voted no. A final vote is expected to take place on Saturday.
Last month, Kavanaugh was accused of sexual assault from more than 30 years ago which slowed down the process towards ending the debate. Alabama Senator Doug Jones says he is not sure how the final vote will go on nominee Kavanaugh’s behalf. If all senate democrats vote against Kavanaugh in the final election, this means the GOP can only afford to lose one republican vote.
