U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley Announces Resignation
United Nations Ambassador for the U.S., Nikki Haley, announced earlier today that she will be resigning from her position. Haley served as governor of South Carolina before being appointed to the U.N. in November of 2016. President Donald Trump expressed that he had been aware for several months that Haley wanted to take time off from the position.
A clear reason for her resigning has not been stated. During today’s press conference in the Oval Office, Haley shares how much she appreciates holding the position as a U.S. Ambassador.
Haley will leave her position at the end of the year.
