A special event held at Oxford High School aimed to motivate young people to connect with their faith. The Fields of Faith Event was organized by Fellowship of Christian Athletes. FCA’s primary focus is to reel in student-athletes and coaches into a relationship with Christ and the church.
This event was created in order to help the youth to get to know Christ through the avenue of sports. Young people from Calhoun County and other surrounding counties also gathered to sing songs and even share testimonies about their relationship with Christ to one another. Area Director Ryan Limbaugh shares why he believes this event is so special for local students.
Limbaugh told TV24’s Danny Vaughn that to close the event, students pledged to a 21 day challenge. The challenge is for students to read the gospel of John for 21 straight days.
