Hurricane Michael Aftermath

At least six people have been killed along Florida’s panhandle as hurricane Michael made landfall Wednesday afternoon, leaving more than half a million people without power. Winds reached up to 155 mph leaving homes and businesses destroyed. Search and rescue crews are doing everything they can to assess roadways and bridges in efforts to reach areas that were hit hardest.

According to FEMA Administrator Brock Long, the hospital system near and around Panama City took a serious hit as well and crews are trying to stabilize health and medical capabilities. More than 30,000 workers from all over the country are working as quickly as possible, with limited access, to start rebuilding power grids.
