FDA Expands E-Cigs Investigation
An investigation to crackdown on teenage use of E-Cigs has expanded. The FDA is expanding its investigation into 21 E-Cigarette companies after finding out they have been illegally marketing products. Last month, the agency launched a surprise inspection into Juul’s, an E-cigarette maker.
Agents seized thousands of documents from Juul’s headquarters in San Francisco, California, relating to sales and marketing. The FDA worries about the popularity of vaping products among teens and the potential impact on smoking rates in the future.
