Several organizations throughout Calhoun County joined forces today to host a relief drive for hurricane Michael survivors in Calhoun County, Florida. The fire departments of Jacksonville, Anniston, and Oxford along with Calhoun County EMA, the Chamber of Commerce, and others have designated drop off locations for people wanting to donate relief goods in their area.
Survivors are in desperate need of items like tarps, diapers, baby supplies, personal hygiene items, and canned goods. Chief of the Anniston Fire Department explains why there is a specific need for tarps.
There are a total of nine drop-off locations throughout Calhoun County where you can deliver you donated goods to. All the locations are shown above. The Jacksonville, Oxford, and Anniston drop off locations are open from 8am until 8pm.
The drop-off locations at the Chamber of Commerce and the Piedmont Administration Building are open from 8am until 5pm. The Florida Relief Drive will end on Thursday, October 18th.
