This Sunday marks the second annual Jacksonville Historic Cemetery Stroll. To celebrate Alabama’s Bicentennial, Jacksonville Public Library and the City of Jacksonville have partnered this holiday season to bring community members together for an afternoon stroll through time.
Participants will meet descendants of Jacksonville while also hearing stories regarding the past residents of the community. Library Specialist Christy Wallace says more than 20 portrayers will be dressed in costumes to help make this experience feel like you’ve traveled back in time.
The free historic cemetery stroll is kid and family friendly and will take place October 21st from 2pm until 4pm.
