Former Tide Star Kerry Goode Visits TV24 Studio

There was a special guest at the TV24 Studio on Thursday afternoon. Former Alabama and NFL star player Kerry Goode and his wife Tanja were guests on the show Local Matters with host Dottie Rimpsey. Kerry Goode has been in a two year battle with ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease). The The neuromuscular disease has confined the once blazing fast superstar to a wheelchair. However Goode's fight has come with spirit and dignity.

Goode is quick to point out the support that comes from everywhere including former teamates and current Tide head coach Nick Saban.

Along with his wife (an Anniston native) he has started the Goode Foundation which helps raise awareness and money for ALS patients and their families.

The Goode Foundation will host its inaugural Gala with all proceeds going to help those battling the disease and families with everyday life needs.
