Police Chase Lands Credit Card Fraud Suspects in Jail

A police chase ended in Oxford with two suspect behind bars. According to Oxford Police Chief Bill Partridge, officers were attempting to stop two people leaving the Sam’s Club at the Oxford Exchange after they were suspected of committing credit card fraud. The driver failed to stop the vehicle and the chase started as the two began driving west on I-20 before rerouting east on highway 78 back into Oxford.

 

Officers caught and arrested the two people after a short foot chase near Coleman Road. Those two people, whose identity has yet to be released, have committed more than $100,000 in credit card fraud in multiple locations like Jefferson County and Nashville. They are being held at the Oxford Detention facility.
