Jacksonville High School Goes on Lockdown

Earlier today, Jacksonville High School’s Administrators put the school under a brief lockdown as law enforcement were chasing after someone on foot heading towards the school. According to the Jacksonville Police Department, officers stopped to question three suspicious men who were circling a nearby neighborhood on foot.

One man admitted to not living in the neighborhood and began making up unknown streets that he was walking to. Officers ran his driver’s license to find out he was on probation for burglary while another man took off running on foot.

When officers caught the man and detained him, they found out that he has a burglary warrant out from Weaver. He is currently being held at the Jacksonville Jail. Jacksonville High School was able to resume normal schedule once the man was caught.
