A new and exciting infield thrill will be added to the Talladega Superspeedway Race Track just in time for next spring’s race. A tram route will be built in order to bring fans into the infield of the track. This one of a kind experience will cost $50 million and is sure to change the way fans watch and react to NASCAR racing.
The tunnel will be a two lane tunnel large enough to fit race team haulers through. Once complete, the infield tunnel will be open 24 hours starting Wednesday morning of each race week. Chairman Grant Lynch also revealed that there will be more additions and renovations in the coming months to continue changing the overall experience at the Talladega Superspeedway.
The Garage Fan Zone project will offer new entertainment attractions for fans, sponsors, and more. Fans who purchase grandstand tickets will also get the opportunity to experience garage access with teams during inspections before the race.
Lynch also adds that the Garage Fan zone is expected to be completed sometime in October of 2019.
