National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Will Be Hosted in 50 Locations Statewide

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall is encouraging Alabamians to participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. There will be 50 collection sites statewide for people to drop off their unwanted or expired prescription drugs.

Since the first Take Back event in 2010, more than 66,000 pounds of unwanted, unused or expired drugs have been removed and disposed safely. Marshall believes that this event is a valuable public service that protects children, homes, and the environment.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 27th from 10am until 2pm. Three locations in Calhoun County are the Walgreens in Jacksonville and Anniston, along with the CVS is Oxford. To view the full list of drop off locations in your area, simply visit www.deatakeback.com.
