Employability Seminars Aim to Prepare Those for Hiring Fair
The East Alabama Regional Hiring Fair is less than a week away that will feature more than 50 employers looking to fill more than 1,500 jobs. Alabama’s Department of Labor Secretary Fitzgerald Washington will also be in attendance to help job seekers connect with employers. To help better prepare you for this year’s hiring fair, Career Centers throughout the region will be providing pre-event Employability Skills seminars.
The times and locations for each skills seminar is listed on your screen. They are free and open to the public. If you need assistance with your resume, setting up a Joblinks account, or tips on what to wear to an interview or to the hiring fair, the skills seminar is your one stop shop before heading to the hiring fair.
The fair is hosted by East Alabama Works and will take place at the Oxford Civic Center November first. Employers will be interviewing potential employees so job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally.
People planning to attend the free event should pre-register online at www.labor.alabama.gov/jobfair. Anyone looking for employment of to upgrade their career is required to bring copies of your resumes and a photo ID.
