Gadsden Man Arrested for Reckless Driving
A Gadsden man was arrested by Leesburg Police for driving a motorcycle recklessly, reaching 100 MPH, as he attempted to run from officers. According to Weis Radio, an officer saw Joey Tierce speeding near Slackland Baptist Church. The officer attempted to stop Tierce as he was heading towards Gadsden on his motorcycle.
As the chase continued, the driver ran over railroad tracks on 17th street right before he lost control and fell off the motorcycle. Tierce refused medical treatment at the scene. He was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center and later released on $6,000. Tierce has a long list of charges including Running a Red Light and Attempting to Elude.
