High School Football Awards - Week 9

After an action-packed Friday night of football, the awards are in from week nine of the high school football season:  


KFC-Pigskin Roundup Team of the Week: Donoho Falcons
The Falcons went on the road and beat Appalachian 49-0 last Friday. The victory secured the No. 2 seed in Class 1A Region 5 which means they will host a playoff game next week. The Falcons are on a four game winning streak and own a 7-2 mark overall. For their big win, the entire team and coaching staff will get the famous team of the week meal from KFC as well as the team of the week t-shirts. 


Wiseguys Pizza Player of the Week: Kenneth "Cat" Bothwell, Southside RB 
The senior running back had a huge night in the Panthers 54-21 win over Crossville. Cat recorded 269 yards of total offense and six touchdowns. He had 221 yards and five touchdowns on the ground and added a 48 yard touchdown catch. As the Player of the Week, Bothwell will receive a free large pizza from Wiseguys Pizza.
