Halloween Safety Tips

Halloween festivities have been going on all month with trick or treaters dressed in their favorites costumes, but on Wednesday, more children will be out walking the neighborhoods with their families. TV24 has some tips for parents trick or treating with their kids, as well as drivers who will be out and about during this fun filled holiday.

Those of you planning to be out with children on Halloween night should map your trick or treating route out ahead of time. Also be sure that you child’s costume doesn’t interfere with their sight. It is very important to check out all candy before letting anyone eat it. Drivers, slow down and obey traffic laws. If you are driving children around a neighborhood, make sure they enter and exit the car from the curbside.

Drivers should not wear mask or anything that will distract their sight. To ensure that everyone has a fun and safe Halloween, extra law enforcement will also be out canvassing neighborhoods.
