Calhoun County Commission Halloween Costume Contest

A Halloween tradition within the Calhoun County Commission Meeting room consisted of nine contestant groups orchestrating skits, in costumes, to win this year’s bragging rights. Employees within the Calhoun County Commission portrayed characters from Ghostbusters, to basketball players, and even famous country singing groups.

The rules of the contest consisted of participants theatrically acting out who their group was portraying to be. Chairman Lee Patterson says the contest gets bigger and better every year.

This year’s Halloween Costume Contest winners were Commission Busters. Patterson said their originality and creativity brought the most intense laughter to the crowd.
