Operation Christmas Child Donations to Begin in November

With October coming to a close, holiday season is officially here and a international Christian relief and evangelism organization needs your help providing gifts for more than 58,000 children during the holidays. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love towards children around the world. Samaritan’s Purse is asking people to fill up shoe boxes with small fun toys, school supplies, and hygiene items. For many children, the shoebox full of items will be the first gift they have ever received.

Although the toys may be small and simple, they will be meaningful. National Collection Week takes place the third week in November where more than 4,500 drop off locations are set throughout the country. So far, there will be a total of five locations locally for people to drop off their shoebox gifts. The drop-off locations for this year’s shoebox gifts are shown on your screen. Operation Christmas Child has a goal of reaching 11 million children in need this year. If you would like to know more about this life changing organization, visit www.samaritanpurse.org.
