Countywide Voter Turnout
On Election Day last Tuesday, 49.8% of Alabama’s more than 3.4 million registered voters showed up at the polls to cast their ballots. According to the Secretary of State’s Office, the projected turnout was expected to be between 35% and 40%.
Out of the 67 counties in the state, Calhoun County was ranked 38 on the list for county-by-county voter turnout with 48.8%. Etowah County was ranked at 48 with a voter turnout of exactly 48%.
