Today was a special day for the Calhoun County Commission as commissioners were sworn into office to serve a four year term. The ceremony was extra special for one commissioner who was re-elected after being out of office for several years.
Eli Henderson served as District three commissioner for years until he was elected as the Circuit Clerk for Calhoun County in 2012. Earlier today, Henderson took oath at the inauguration as the commissioner for district three once again. Henderson says it feels great to be back and shares what made him most excited about today. Henderson believes the county has a great commission and he adds that he is ready to get to work.
After the inauguration ceremony, each commissioner was given several minutes to speak before having their first organizational meeting.
