In honor of this week being Winter Weather Awareness Week, the Alabama Emergency Management Agency is encouraging everyone to prepare now for winter weather hazards. With the cold and wet weather being introduced into the forecast, it is important that residents know how to properly prepare in the case of a winter weather hazard.
Gadsden-Etowah EMA has created a week long campaign in an effort to prep citizens for the entire season. Public Information Officer Breonna Cole believes it’s always good to be prepared because you never know how weather can ultimately affect your area.
