A pet clinic in Gadsden started a supplies drive in support of the people affected by Hurricane Michael that made landfall in October. What started out at a small supplies drive turned into dozens of businesses partnering up to fill trailers. Employees at the Rainbow City Pet Clinic have gathered warm clothes, cleaning supplies, and food. The supplies will be loaded into a trailer to take Panama City Beach, Florida, which was among the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Michael.
Rainbow City Pet Clinic employees have been preparing to drive to Florida this Sunday for weeks. During their preparation, other businesses and companies started to pitch in. One business who has contributed a tremendously is Cash Saver Groceries. Owner Greg Gregerson says he just wants to help people who have been severely affected and he is thankful for the clinic’s employees for making the sacrifice.
The Employees and volunteers will depart for Florida Saturday afternoon to go door-to-door and tent-to-tent handing out supplies to the people who need it most.
