Gadsden Public Library Gets New Director
The City of Gadsden’s Public Library has a new director who happens to have a long history at the library and is planning to bring a host of ideas to add to the library’s growth. Craig Scott began his career with the public library in 2007 as the Adult Services Librarian before being promoted to Library Administrator where he was in charge of several functions.
Scott is also a part of the Alabama Library Association and is involved in several non-profit organizations including United Way and the Etowah County Bicentennial committee. The new Library Director says he plans to first bring the identity of the city back into the library. Scott’s newest role requires him to oversee all branches, staff, and programs of the Gadsden Library. He is thrilled to now hold this position. Scott encourages families who have old material that they would like to be preserved to visit him during regular business hours to ensure they get preserved the right way.
