After falling behind by points in the first half, the JSU football team rallied in the second to claim a 34-27 victory over East Tennessee State. The first round win means the Gamecocks are one of 16 teams in the nation still left vying for the FCS title. The challenge gets larger this week as JSU hits the road. The Gamecocks will face Maine on Saturday in the second round. The Black Bears are the #7 overall seed and had a bye in the opening round. The players and head coach John Grass say they will have to step up to the challenge.
