Christmas is near and people are continuously finding ways to spread holiday cheer. The Rainbow City Pet Clinic is choosing to give by planning another trip to Florida to continue supporting victims of Hurricane Michael. The Friends Fur Florida Drive has been collecting items since Hurricane Michael made landfall in Florida in October.
With the first trip earlier this month being such a huge success, employees with the Rainbow City Pet Clinic have decided to collect toys and other items for children and their families affected by the natural disaster. This trip, volunteers are going to an area called, ‘Tent City’ in Panama City, Florida. Co-Coordinator Christi Brown says it’s not always sunny and warm in Florida and people need more supplies.
There are roughly 30 children and 120 adults currently living in tent city. Brown says if you would like to donate to Friends Fur Florida you can drop off items this Friday at the Rainbow City Pet Clinic no later than noon. Monetary donations are also accepted.
