More Than 5 Million Pounds of Beef Has Been Recalled
Anyone who eats beef needs to recheck there freezer, more raw beef has been recalled due to an ongoing salmonella contamination investigation. According to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, more than 5 million pounds of non-intact raw beef products have been added to the initial recall from back in October.
The recalled beef was produced and packaged between July 26th and September 27th. The brands of beef include Kroger, Cedar River Farms, Grass Run Farms and JBS Generic. The CDC reports that 246 people have gotten sick in 25 states since November.
Fortunately, no deaths have been reported. If you have any recalled beef in your home or business, you should throw it away or return it to the store of purchase immediately.
