An Army Veteran and his wife will soon have a permanent place to call home for their family, thanks to the Habitat for Humanity of Calhoun County. The Jester family will be Habitat for Humanity of Calhoun County’s first Veteran’s build. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide safe and affordable living for families in need.
Several contractors within the Piedmont area have agreed to either help sponsor the build or provide volunteer labor. Elizabeth and Jeremy Jester tell TV24 that they are beyond grateful to be selected for this wonderful gift around the holidays.
The Jester’s also say they hope to be moved into their home sometime in September of 2019.
