Honda Passport Production Rollout

Honda Employees gathered outside the plant in Lincoln today to celebrate and debut the 2019 Honda Passport that will be built in East Alabama. The redesigned Honda Passport SUV will be designed for off-road use and placed in the category with other top of the line Honda vehicles including the Pilot, Odyssey Minivan, and Ridgeline Pick-up truck.

For the Talladega plant, this is the first time an all new Honda vehicle has launched here. The 1,500 workers all played a hand in making this production possible. Vice President Mike Oatridge says a lot of hard work and dedication has went into bringing this product to life and he couldn’t be happier with the results. The 2019 Passport will be the largest interior volume of its class, having not only a sporty look, but sporty type of handling for the driver behind the wheel. Manufacturing associates at the Talladega plant are excited to see the Passports on the roads soon because they’ll know that they were built right here in Alabama.
