Attorney General's Office Taking Part in Stopping Harmful RoboCalls

The state Attorney General’s Office recently announced its participation in a bipartisan group to help put a stop to continuous robocalls. The bipartisan group is made up of 39 attorneys who will focus on the technology that major telecom companies are using to combat illegal robocalls.

According to WEIS Radio, Attorney General Steve Marshall says that not only are robocalls annoying, they have become a persistent harassment that is disrupting people’s lives and can be a means for scammers to steal hard-earned money and savings.

Other attorney generals participating in the group are from Georgia, Arizona, Florida, Mississippi and more.
