Jimmy Dean Sausage Recall

A popular breakfast sausage is being voluntarily recalled due to possible metal contamination. CTI Foods has recalled more than 29,000 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat poultry and pork sausage links after a hand-full of people called the US Food Safety and Inspection Service complaining about metal pieces in their sausage. The item being recalled is the 23.4 ounce pouch of Jimmy Dean Heat ‘N Serve Original Sausage Links made with Pork and Turkey.

The item also has a “Use By” date of January 31st, 2019. There have been no reports of anyone getting sick or hurt by the metal. The United States Drug Administration suggests you return this package to the store of purchase or throw it away.
