Attorney General Takes on Galleria Shooter Case
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall says he will take over the prosecution of cases stemming from the Thanksgiving night shooting at the Riverchase Galleria Mall in Hoover. Marshall announced this morning that his office will take over those cases from Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr because Carr has admitted he has personal relationships with some of the protesters who have marched near the mall in recent weeks.
On the night of November 22, two people, Brian Wilson and Molly Davis, were wounded in the shopping center. A Hoover police officer responding to the incident shot and killed Emantic Bradford Junior believing him to be the shooter. Police later said that was a mistake and have charged another man, Erron Brown, with shooting Wilson and Davis. Attorney General Marshall says he will take over the prosecution of Brown as well as the case involving the death of Bradford. So far, no one has been charged in that case.
