Man Charged with First Degree Arson in Sylacauga
A North Carolina man has been charged in connection to starting a fire at a Sylacauga Church. Sylacauga Police arrested Donald Crawford who is believed to have started a fire in the basement area of Knollwood Presbyterian Church. During the start of the fire, a group of parishioners were inside who all managed to make it out safely.
According to Sylacauga Police, Crawford is believed to be a homeless vagrant traveling from North Carolina to Florida. A Talladega County District Judge has set Crawford’s bond at $25,000. We will hear from Pastor Harris Bond of Knollwood Presbyterian Church tomorrow on TV24 Primetime News.
