VeoRide's Bike Sharing Comes to East Alabama

The first regional bikeshare system in the state had a ribbon cutting ceremony in Jacksonville that introduced the newest way to rent bicycles. VeoRide’s has brought a total of 180 bikes that can be shared between the cities of Oxford, Anniston, and Jacksonville. VeoRide was originally created for people struggling to find flexible and reliable transportation to their jobs or classes.

To rent a bike, all you have to do is download the VeoRide app to your mobile device and follow the instructions. People who attended the ceremony got the chance to ride the bikes and learn more about how to rent the VeoRides.

Mayor Smith also says he’s thankful Jacksonville State University students will get to enjoy the state’s first bike sharing system. The VeoRides are now available for the entire community to enjoy.
