Opioid Drug Abuse on the Continuous Rise
A study published by the Journal Jama Network may have found a dangerous cycle involving the abuse of opioid drugs. The study showed that the more money pharmaceutical companies spent on marketing prescription opioids, the more prescriptions doctors then wrote.
Which then resulted in more people overdosing from those drugs. The Journal Jama believes the rise in opioid overdoses is linked to the marketing of those opioids.
