Blue Campaign Aims to Raise Awareness of Human Trafficking Year-Round

Although this month is recognized as Human Trafficking Awareness Month, this growing problem requires year-round attention. In 2017, there were 68 human trafficking cases reported in the state. It is important for people who witness suspicious activity to report it to law enforcement.

Secretary of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Hal Taylor believes that if communities come together, we can end human trafficking. The Blue Campaign is the unified voice for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s efforts to combat human trafficking.

To report a situation, call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 866-346-2423. To find out more about the Blue Campaign and how to end Human Trafficking visit www.dhs.gov/BlueCampaign.
