New Commissioner for AL Department of Veterans Affairs

The City of Anniston’s former Manager is now the Commissioner of of the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs. Governor Kay Ivey announced earlier today that retired Rear Admiral Kent Davis was voted upon by the State Board of Veterans Affairs earlier this month. Admiral Davis has served our country for more than 30 years with the US Army and Navy.

 

Upon his retirement, Davis was the Senior Legal Counsel for the Center for Domestic Preparedness at McClellan before serving as the Manager for the City of Anniston for two years. Admiral Davis says he looks forward to continuing to serve this country as the Commissioner of Veterans Affairs. His appointment will take effect on February 19th of this year.
